Came across ProModeler in a forum discussion and decided to take a look. Glad I did! These servos are awesome! Top quality materials, workmanship, and engineering throughout. You cannot find a better servo for the price. I'm running this is a Traxxas Stampede 4x4 and it has been great. Strong and fast, even at 6V BEC. ProModeler will be my go-to servo choice.

I called to buy DS470BLHV servos for my 112" wingspan AeroPlusRC Extra 330LT. Powered by a reliable GP113 twin, after a brief chat about my flying style (smooth IMAC-type versus aggressive 3D-maneuvers), they suggested servos costing 1/2 as much. Well, I've now got enough flights on them to say they were right. These 3-pole DS360DLHV servos have plenty of power so I'm happy to recommend them. For pilots into precision flight instead of 3D, follow their advice and save some serious money. Considering I called prepared to spend 2X as much per servo, I'm blown away they cared enough for my interests. Try them, you’ll never go back to what you use now!

I installed a set of ProModeler DS360DLHV servos in my Extreme Flight MXS 35cc and powered it with a DLE35. These are great servos and I really like how they’re water resistant, have metal gears, an aluminum center case for heat disapation, and include socket cap mounting screws without breaking the bank. I fly for sport instead of 3D but I’ve been flying a long time and don't know another company so dedicated to providing customer service. I’m a member of SMAC (Somerset Model Airplane Club) and Skymac in Bowling Green so look me up if you’d like to see these in person.

These servos are very well made. I tested all of them and they work great. It has been winter time, plus I'm putting them in a new build so I can not comment on performance in plane in the air - yet. I also took one servo apart to compare to pictures online and they are identical. Holding power of these servos in outstanding. I tried to move one while powered up and I think I would almost break servo before I'd get it to move.

Pros:
  • Great servo
Cons:
Installed these in my plane and the look and the feel is amazing. Running on 6V has lots of torque and speed seems good. Love the fact they don’t set there and buzz when on. Smooth and quiet . . . real nice!

If you buy the DS360DLHV for crawling this servo will fail you. Despite being marketed for them or hearing all the great things John has to say about the gears, when they fail he will blame you because you didn't buy his flagship 470, what great support from someone who is so proud of his product. I was told that this servo is only for light use and that even minor bumps would destroy his product(his words). Where are all these warnings on the product description?

What can I say my disappointment in this product is immeasurable, this servo is sold as the "workhorse" but barely lasted a month no more than 15 hours of wheeling(not bashing). He assumed that I was rough on my truck well I can tell you that my TRX4 is stock running class 1 tires(smaller than stock) and no extra weight added. He assured me that his product was not defective and that I clearly broke them without even seeing the product(very defensive). It is sad day when the shiny new servo you got is the very first thing to break on your truck(even before all the plastics bits...). Traxxas, everyone complains about your stock servo but it has lasted me longer and has replaced the PoS that John sold me.

I won't lie, I was damn excited to try out this servo, but now I'm just excited to remove his decal from my truck.
