Unlike filters designed to be opened, these are permanently sealed against leakage, which results i erratic engine operation. Filtering is what protects your engine from errant bits of trash and contamination blocking the critical small passages within the carburetor. Designed for 1/8" and 5/32" silicone or gasoline fuel lines, either back-flush or replace yearly to ensure consistent engine operation.
