Servo, DS630BLHV (DS630BLHV)

5.00 stars, based on 16 reviews
Bottom line? This is one bad ass servo we're making here. Period. Unbreakable? No, we'll never say that because we're not stupid. However, it's a very tough to beat servo in the +600oz-in class because beyond the best materials and design, we nail...

This is a really nice servo. It looks amazing, it performs amazing and if you spend $140 on a savox instead of a Promodeler, you should have your head examined.

The servo is everything I was hoping for! And after spending 15-20 min. on the phone (before purchase) with John, I have to say customer service is over the top. The servo works like a champ, its tough, rugged and if you like sexy parts, this is the one for you!

Best servo ever in my X-Maxx 8s

OMG this is by far the best servo I've had to run it in my X-Maxx 8s. Instead of haven't to do wide turns I can wipe it around in a instant. Going to get one for my other RC's as well. Well good luck and happy bashing

Excellent Servo Resolution

Pros:
Cons:
I put a dozen ProModeler servos within my 43% PAU Edge 540 and I am very happy. The flight controls feature three DS470BLHV on each aileron, two more on rudder, plus a DS630BLHV on each elevator half. The engine gets a DS345BLHV on throttle and a DS360DLHV on choke - all into an Advanced Radio powerbox. I can't begin to express how precise they are and how quiet. There’s just no noise. Their performance in precision IMAC flying is absolutely great. They are simply the best servos I have ever used. I love em and I think you will too. I'm sold . . . nice Job John.

Excellent servo!

This is my second promodler servo, as usual the quality is top notch and nothing I have seen compares to a promodler servo. I don't think a stronger servo exists at this price point, I'm not just talking about overall tq output either the design is very robust. I beat my 470oz promodler for over a year in a 10lb rock crawler almost daily, and it still works great but I did notice some slop in it so I replaced it with the 630oz. The 630 is extremely strong and very quick and I have no doubt that it will last even longer.

Great product and service

Pros:
  • Surprisingly quick
Cons:

I'm very pleased with my DS630BLHV because it has loads of torque for my Axial RR10 2.2 Bomber and is surprisingly quick as well. The servo looks feels and performs like a tank.

Great servo for my X-MAXX

Pros:
Cons:

Bought this bad boy for the X-MAXX and figured if the RC airplane enthusiasts trust it in their planes, I could trust it in a land based vehicle with no worries. At 6 volts the servo is an animal and couldn't imagine what it is like at 8.4 volts!

ProModeler servos are the only servos I have left that are still working out of all the brands I own. I spent some serious money on other supposed high end servos only to have my ProModeler servos put them to shame.

I like the fact that ProModeler is a small outfit business and their servos can only be found on their site. That is where other servo manufacturers make their mistake. Other manufacturers try to push quantity over quality because they supply to secondary vendors to sell their servos and the quality suffers.

I would buy ProModeler servos even if there was a four week wait time, because the wait would be worth it! ProModeler servos are the only servos that I feel I am getting my moneys worth. If one ever did fail, (That is a very big IF) I would be O.K. with that because I know by the time if it ever did fail, that it had already outlasted ten times over any other brand servo I could have possibly bought on the market today.

ProModeler servos are beyond their time (almost like they are a radically advanced type of mechanism utilizing quantum mechanics) and I hope that never changes.

ProModeler, Thank You for making such a beautiful servo with laser etching! Also, Thank You for realizing that quality should always trump quantity. Other manufacturers have something to learn from the precedent ProModeler has set, but they are to busy being greedy to worry about quality.

Don't ever change ProModeler, and I can guarantee I will never stop buying these servos. Heck, I would buy them even if it was just to look at them!

Yes, they are that nice along with John's excellent advice and vast knowledge.

Pros:
  • Powerhouse / tank
Cons:
This thing is the last servo I'll ever need! It's extremely strong, quite and just keeps on taking it no questions asked. Nice and cold after 2 hours of use in my 6x6.
