ProModeler has made me a lifetime customer

I promised the owner of ProModeler I'd write a review if these servos lasted a year, and they have! I have purchased other high end servos in the past and they just would fail mechanically or electronically or both. Simply put, I was paying twice the price for servos that no care or thought was put into developing them.

ProModeler servos are different in the sense that you get the "I'm a special customer" feeling when you buy these servos. My search for a reliable servo is over. ProModeler has made me a lifetime customer, and also made my hobby worthwhile again!

2nd order - six more this time

I just ordered 6 more of these as I am currently converting over all my giant scale planes to this servo exclusively. I wanted you to know that every word in the description of these servo rings true down to the very last detail. I’ve been modeling since 1978 and have used lots of servos over the years but these guys really are very underrated. Servo overkill is a marketing hype that’s hard for some to overcome. I bought a set a few months ago to try out and see just what a 50 dollar servo can do. I must say I’m sold for life. I fly IMAC, pattern, high energy 3D, Cubs, gliders, so I like it all to some degree. I decided to install these in a brand new AJ 115” Laser230z 40% and after almost 50 grueling flights these dudes are just as they were when I put them in. They are just a little slower than what I’m accustomed to due to the motor used but they are so darn precise I simply cannot tell the difference in using these versus $150 servos. I've always wanted a universal servo for all my airplanes and it seems after 35 years in giant scale I’ve finally found one.

360 oz servo

This is an amazing servo upgrade for any rtr crawler. You can't beat the specs for the price. The wire was just a little too short to reach my RX in a stock TRX-4 so you will need an extension, but most servos do. I plan on getting the 470 oz next. Thanks!

I ordered 2 servos for the two trucks I have (Redcat Everest and Axial SCX 10 II) and they work great. They are smooth and take the abuse that I put them through without any hesitation. I love these servos and would recommend them to anyone looking for a good reliable servo.

DS360DLHV SERVO

First off, I have been in the hobby for over 45 years, and things have come a long way since then. I fly everything from smaller planes and helicopters to large scale. Trust me when I say I have used 'every' servo on the market and I seriously wish I would have heard of these servos long before I did. NO SERVO I have used lives up to these ProModeler servos in how well they are constructed, as well as honest numbers in speed and torque. I just simply WILL USE NOTHING ELSE in my planes or helis but ProModeler servos anymore! The prices are just unbeatable for the Best!

Fantastic Servos!

Pros:

  • strong
  • accurate
  • good looking
Cons:
  • None so far!

I own a heavily modified Axial Yeti 4x4 rock racer. As it goes in the hobby, every performance gain exposes other weaknesses. The steering on the Yeti was very sloppy in stock form and only got worse. With larger tires and the stock steering and suspension components completely replaced with stouter aftermarket parts, the stock servo became the weak link.

While searching forums for a better replacement, I was introduced to ProModeler. I read the impressive specs, and for the about a 1/2 of the price of a comparable servo I decided to give them a try. I'm glad I did! I went from poor control (and frequent crashes) to outstanding control. Steering is now precise and importantly, return to center is fast and accurate. I added a Castle BEC to the Yeti for steering and run with no issues. Slightly taller than stock, I did have to shim it and it was a tight squeeze into the compartment.

The ProModeler servos are high quality units. They also look great. I am installing another one today into my Axial SCX10 rock crawler and will soon replace the servos in my RC boats with DS130DLHV.

I ordered 5 360oz-in, Std, 3-pole - DS360DLHV servos and can't be more pleased with the performance. After using JR and Hitec for years this was a big change for me, but well worth it. These servos are in a 27% Cub which is a bit of a hot rod requiring servos that perform well. These exceed all expectations and I must point out the centering is awesome. Great Job Promodeler!!

I wanted to try a servo that was budget friendly. I usually use the DS345BLHV but I wanted to give this guy a try. I put it in my custom unimog and I was not disappointed. Running on straight 2s it has plenty of power both in the dirt and on the rocks. I will be stepping the power up to 8.4 once I wire in a bec. Very happy that I bought two :)
