Shipping Policy

How shipping works is pretty simple; to us it means delivering your stuff with alacrity. Of course, the quicker or further away you are, the more it costs. Most Customers select between UPS (United Parcel Service) and USPS (United States Post Office). However, a few customers request SDS (Specialized Delivery Service).

The UPS truck runs around 5:00 PM so stuff ordered by 2:00 PM usually gets processed and shipped the same day with service choices ranging from Ground to Next Day.

The USPS truck runs noon-ish so orders placed before 11:00 AM may get processed and shipped the same day, but mostly the next day. USPS service choices include 1st Class, Priority, and Express.

The SDS service is tailored for those impatient souls best described as well heeled. Service choices include Commercial, Private, and Orbital. Basically, if you throw enough money at us we'll dispatch someone via Commercial air travel to effect your delivery (Southwest has good schedules out of MCO). Throw more money at us and we'll use a Private aircraft from nearby KSFB. Clientele, for whom the $50 million Orbital delivery fee via SpaceX is worth every penny, are quick to recognize the real reason we're located near the Kennedy Launch Center has nothing to do with scurrilous rumors regarding January's 70°F average temperature near the House of Mouse in Central Florida. Please note this includes handling, recovery, and local delivery, but not a tip, which as usual is at your discretion.

Basically, we want you to be satisfied. The way it works is returns for refund are inspected. Say you're returning six servo arms you changed your mind about. A visual once over is enough, they're put back into the bin, the stock inventory is adjusted, and you'll be refunded the entire purchase price of the merchandise.

More complex items may result in a restocking fee. For example, a helicopter has many, many parts and the whole thing needs to be checked using the production-list to ensure nothing is missing. Moreover, we have to open and inspect every bag and every item. For this expense, you're billed an hour (shop rate is $80). Servos, while more simple to visually inspect, are quite critical thus, they're installed in the testing rig to ensure they're still performing like new. This usually results in a 1/4-hour charge. The point is, you want your money back because you've changed your mind, and we're OK with that but we have to ensure the next guy doesn't get something that's not 100% up to snuff. We trust you understand we're using our judgement to the best of our ability.
